A book based on a collection of 84 letters, mostly written between 1946 and 1950 by two former German POW’s to their American friend, Roy Rank, who they learned to know and befriend at their place of duty while living at the Reading Army Air Field during the years of 1944 to 1946. Some very emotional letters described the uncertainty of their lives after leaving camp and merely surviving in their home, war torn country.
